Follow a diamond's journey from mine to market

Canadamark Diamonds are sourced from a remote region in Canada's beautiful Northwest Territories. These diamonds are traced from the Ekati and Diavik mines through an audited process that follows each step of the stone's journey. Each diamond is accompanied by an authenticity card listing the mine of origin, the diamond's weight, and a unique ID number that's also inscribed into the girdle of the stone.

The oldest known diamonds in the world

Diamonds from this region are the oldest ever found, dating back to 3.5 billion years ago. These diamonds formed deep within the Earth, among the planet's oldest rocks, while life was just beginning on the surface. In addition to their ancient origins, deposits here have been known to produce large rough stones of excellent color and clarity.

Responsible production meets environmental preservation

Diamonds were discovered here in the 1990's and since then great care has gone into the preservation of the land, water, and wildlife. Mining companies follow strict environmental guidelines based on agreements between local Aboriginal groups, the regional government of the Northwest Territories, and the Canadian government. These guidelines protect migrating animals, freshwater sources, and areas of historical and archeological significance to the Aboriginal and Canadian people.
